As well a range of new models that will be released to market next year there was a number of concept designs on display over the course of the show. Here is our roundup of some of the stars that were unveiled at this year’s show:
Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept
Toyota’s racing concept sports car definitely stole the show at this years event. Bringing back the name and spirit of the most celebrated model in Toyota's heritage the Supra shows the future potential for a car that can deliver high performance both on road and track.
Bugatti Chiron Sport
The worlds fastest car manufacturer just added another speedster to its fleet. The Chiron Sport is expected to reach speeds of over 261mph and is even lighter than the standard Chiron version.
McLaren Senna GTR Concept
British Supercar maker’s McLaren launched the new GTR which is due to enter production next year, with a price tag of £1Million. They say it will have “at least 814bhp” and will be able to lap a circuit faster than all the company’s current models except its F1 cars.
Ferrari 488 Pista
With a turbocharged V8 engine that reaches 0-62mph in just 2.9sec the Ferrari 488 is definitely one of the quickest cars on show in Geneva this year.
Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo
Porsche unveiled their new all- electric SUV that is powered by two electric motors on either axle and has a range of around 250 miles on a single charge. There are no details as of yet when the car will be released but we expect it to be toward the end of 2019.
BMW M8 Gran Coupe
BMW revealed a new performance version of the upcoming 8 series in the form of an M8 Gran Coupe concept. This model gives us an insight of what to look forward to in the future from BMW and their 8 series range.
Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door Coupe
Mercedes revealed a four-door version of their Mercedes-AMG GT coupe which will go on sale in early 2019. It is the first four-door car to be made specifically by AMG who are responsible for Mercedes sports cars.
Audi A6
Audi have releavled their all -new A6 with includes a digital operatring system and internet connectivity. The new A6 will also come with a degree of hybrid technology in that the battery allows the car to switch off the engine and coast between speeds of 34mph and 99mph.
Jaguar I-Pace
Jaguar unveiled its first all-electric SUV that promises a range of 298 miles. The I-Pace has two electric motors that give the vehicle 400 horsepower that shoots it to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds. The I-Pace also features a connection to Amazon’s Alexa which means you can ask the unit about the car when you are not in it such as ‘Is it locked?’ or ‘How many miles range is left?’
Lexus UX
Lexus unveiled its entrant into the increasingly popular small SUV segment. The new UX promises to have hatchback like handling and still be as spacious as an SUV rivalling cars like the BMW X2 and Volvo XC40.
Hyundai Sante Fe
Hyundai have revealed the all new Santa Fe with both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid version. The new Sante-Fe has been redesigned to look more like recent Hyundai models which includes a new ‘cascading grille’ and notable line across the base of the bonnet.
Kia Ceed
Kia Motors revealed the all-new Kia Ceed, now in its third generation, the brand have chosen to drop the slightly confusing apostrophe (Cee’d) from the model’s name. The five-door hatchback will enter production in May 2018 along with a Sportswagon (estate) version of the Ceed expected to be available also.
