Carzone helps Woodland Motor Co. Galway, support local hockey team

The Woodland Motor Co, a local dealer in Galway, has won the Carzone sponsorship for its chosen local sports team, the Dominican College Taylor’s Hill first year hockey team.

Hockey is a core sport at the Dominican College Taylor’s Hill, with teams representing the school from first year, U15s, U16s and senior levels. Dominican College Taylor’s Hill is a Catholic Voluntary Secondary school which opened in 1858 and has expanded ever since under the trusteeship of “Le Chéile".

The first-year team’s sponsor, Woodland Motor Co. was first established in 2006 in Drumacoo, Kilcolgan, Co. Galway. With an excellent reputation and a fantastic customer base, Woodland Motor Co. grew from strength to strength and in 2015 the business moved into a new showroom with a new three-bay garage along with more staff and an improved stock on the Lydican Rd, Claregalway.

Our business has a long tradition of supporting local clubs and organisations, so we are very happy to be able to give something back to the local community.”

The competition is run by Carzone, who have been calling on car dealers nationwide to nominate their local sports team of choice. This sponsorship initiative will see several sports clubs receive their very own branded kit courtesy of their local car dealership over the next few months, giving car dealerships the opportunity to support their local community.
