Now participants can experience first-hand what the most powerful engine ever developed for a BMW car feels like. At the heart of the M8 Competition is a high-revving 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine that produces an extraordinary 625 horsepower. The engine is mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, all this power is channelled to the road via the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
The M8 Competition’s chassis has been designed and tuned with the specific demands of track use in mind. One of the features of the chassis that stands out in particular is a newly developed integrated braking system, an M-specific version of which presents the driver with two different brake pedal feel settings. The BMW M8 Competition will line-up alongside the BMW M2 Competition and M4 Competition at the BMW Driving Experiences in Mondello Park. The BMW Driving Experiences include the M2 Experience, M4 Experience, M8 Experience and the new Ultimate BMW Driving Experience.
Participants of the BMW Driving Experiences have the opportunity to drive the MINI Cooper S, BMW M2 Competition, BMW M4 Competition and BMW M8 Competition around Ireland’s only FIA accredited race-circuit. With four bespoke BMW Driving Experiences exclusive to Mondello Park, patrons are guaranteed to have an exciting and thrilling day!
You’ll build up to the agility and precision required to drive the BMW Competition model of your choice with a couple of training laps with a professional instructor in a MINI Cooper S, famed for its kart-like handling and lively performance. Then the real action begins as you unleash the power of the precision-engineered BMW M engine during a series of laps around Mondello Park’s National Circuit.
