Audi Q2 pricing announcement

We've been given Irish pricing for the new Audi Q2 TDI.

The latest in a long line of they're-going-to-sell-loads-of-these new models from Audi is the Q2 small crossover, a compact, but chunky SUV based on the same basic bag of mechanical bits as the A3 hatchback.

For now, it will come in two trims, SE and S line, and we've been given the prices for the 110hp 1.6-litre TDI diesel versions. Those will kick off at €32,490 for the SE model, which comes with cruise control, smartphone interfacing and rear parking sensors. The more expensive S line model with the same engine, starting at €35,790, will feature LED headlights, sport suspension, sport seats, drive select and 18-inch five-spoke Y design alloy wheels, in addition to the SE trim features. There will be 1.0 and 1.4 TFSI turbo petrols and a 2.0 TDI diesel available and we'll get prices for those in the next few weeks.

Small but reasonably spacious, the Audi Q2 promises luggage capacity of up to 1,050 litres if you fold the back seats down and an optional powered boot lid. It also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces, as well as the Audi Phone Box, which uses the car's radio antenna to improve mobile reception.
