Your opinion on the Peugeot 5008?
Hi We are looking at a Peugeot 5008. The 1.6 Diesel automatic engine. I have heard only bad things about this engine and that it is in most of the affordable 7 seaters! EG, Picasso, Megane, Galaxy etc...!! What is your opinion on this please??!!! Thanks!

That 1.6 diesel is used in a huge number of vehicles as it was shared by Peugeot, Ford, Citroen, Volvo, MINI and Mazda (not Renault though). It has a couple of weak areas, notably the water pump and the exhaust gas recirculation valve, but a well-kept engine that's serviced on schedule, shouldn't give too much trouble.
