It kind of depends on what sort of driving you're doing. Those living in town and doing mostly small mileages should definitely be switching to petrol or hybrid power. Those doing lots of miles, especially on motorway, should probably stick with diesel. The only problem is that we don't know what tax changes, if any, the Government has planned for the next Budget, which could obviously affect second hand values further down the line. As things stand at the moment, though, make the decision based on your driving profile.
