I do high mileage on back roads liable to flooding and muck commuting between Cork waterford weekly. Also city use. Have in the region of 10,000 to spend on a second car (current is Peugeot 207) and hoping for a family car that can be reliable. Preference for an SUV for high vision and space but most of all be comfortable for hours driving. Perhaps volvo xc60 (pricey post 2008) or volvo s60/v60, Honda cr-v? would like low tax and good consumption. Can you recommend some choices? Many thanks!
Hi James,
You won't (sadly) get a CR-V or an XC60 for that budget post-2008, so I think your best bets are a Skoda Yeti, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan or, if you need something really big, a Hyundai Santa Fe.
