No, they’re actually really good, you just need to know that they are cheap for a reason. Basically, the Duster is a very good car — it's reliable, roomy and practical with a solid 1.5 diesel engine. The reason that they’re cheap is that they use old Renault and Nissan parts, all of which have long since paid back their initial investment, so the seats are not the most comfortable, the cabin plastics are very rough and ready and refinement isn’t as good as you’d find on rival cars. Also, beware buying older Duster models, as initially it did not come with life-saving electronic stability control as standard.
