Will this fix my Mokka?

Will this fix my Mokka?

If I change the whole bonnet catch will the spanner light come off as well as code 89 got serviced in December

Our answer:

Hi Michael,

I am assuming you are referring to an Opel Mokka as we've had lots of people ask about code 89 in that car.

If the code is being caused by a faulty sensor in the catch (which is a common issue), then yes, it will be cleared by replacing the catch with a new one. Please note that is not the only thing that can cause the spanner icon and code 89, however, so don't change the catch unless a mechanic has confirmed that is the issue.
