Good Afternoon, I am looking to trade in my car/sell. Its an 2011 opel corsa with realtively average mileage and it very good condition. Last year I was involved in an RTA that resulted in damage to my car aprox 2k worth of damage. The other parties insurance paid out as she was liable and the car was repaired and back on the road in 2 weeks. My question is will this depriciate the value of my car? I have the full report from the repairer but I am anxious as I know the car is in very good condition I am just worried that it will show it has been repaired following a crash and I wont get any where near what I should?
Hi Orla,
Unfortunately, the fact that the car has been crashed and repaired will affect the value. The fact that you can show all the receipts and that the car has been professionally repaired will help, but sadly there will be some impact on the final price you’ll get for the car.
