Will a petrol Mondeo suit me?
Hi, I am looking for a 2007-2014 Ford Mondeo model. I'm looking for the best value one. I've an €8k budget. My work commute is only four miles and I do maybe 5,000 a year so was thinking of a petrol model 1.6. What is your recommendation on this?

Yes, I'd say a 1.6 petrol is a good bet although you might just be able to track down one of the fleetingly rare 2.0-litre petrols that would do a better job of shifting the Mondeo's bulk.
The 1.6 is fine though - just make sure you find one with as low mileage as possible and as much history as possible.
