Will a newer engine fit in a 2009 Qashqai?
Would the engine from a 2012 qashquai fit a 09 one? The engine is gone and someone said they have a 2012 engine with only 5000 km on it.

An engine from a 2012 Qashqai will physically fit into a 2009 model for sure, but there may be big challenges in terms of wiring and software. Best to check with the garage doing the work that they're happy to take it on and have experience doing such a swap. Also, it might be necessary to get the wiring loom with the new engine.
