Why is tax so high on my Focus?
Just looking for an answer on why my car is so high in tax I never really understood it its a 2010 Ford focus costing over 600 for the year just wondering why so much

Without full details of your car we can't really look into this in too much depth. We'd need to know full details of the engine and the CO2 rating, for example. A 2010 Focus would be subject to taxation based on its CO2 rating. If you are paying in a single annual payment, then €600 would suggest that it sits in Band D, with emissions of 156-170g/km.
