Why is my Peugeot overheating?

I have a peugeot 206just over ten years old it was overheating was told I needed cambelt thermostat and water pump x I got second opinion and told it was the thermostat mechanic took out and car ran OK after he clean pipe then it started pissing water from i think the radiator another mechanic said put Radwell in so he did that car still over heating so I check water level and when I took cap off water over flows out of pump???

Our answer:

Hi Nicola,

I assume you mean the water was flowing out of the top of the radiator? You can't see the water pump, which is deep within the engine. It's difficult to assess this from afar, but it sounds to us like an issue with the radiator. It might be best to have it replaced or reconditioned.
