It's very difficult to assess such issues from afar, and you've not told us which engine your car has. I'm going to assume 1.4-litre petrol, as that's probably the most common. There are a couple of known issues with this car that may or may not be your problem, but give you somewhere to start your investigations:

1 - Poor earth connection between the throttle body and ignition coil.

2 - Vibration causing intermittent engine coolant temperature sensor failure.

No. 2 is, to my mind, a very likely issue.
