Early examples of the 2.0 CDTi diesel Insignia had issues with the oil delivery that sometimes lead to engine seizure. Effectively, the engine may not get enough oil due to blockages in the system and the engine will then seize. It may be possible to repair this at much lower cost than the replacement of the whole engine.
