The Kia Soul and Venga are similar size, why does the Soul cost so much more
Hi Richard,
It’s simply a case of market demand. The Soul and Venga use the same platform, but the Soul is classed as a crossover, whereas the Venga is a mini-MPV. Buyers these days far prefer crossovers to MPVs (whether that’s right or wrong is a moot point) and so the demand for crossovers is higher, maintaining stronger residual values in cars of that type. Thus, the Soul is – for want of a better word – ‘cooler’ than the Venga and so more desirable. Hence, it’s more money.
