Hi Charles,
Assuming you are referring to regeneration of the DPF, it entirely depends on how the car is driven. If it's mostly short hops at low speeds, then the DPF never has a chance to get up to temperature and regenerate itself. This is true of most modern diesel cars, unfortunately.
