Why are my brakes squeaking?
my brakes are squaeking, when i press them. it only happens when i first start driving and stops when the car has been driven for a bit. its a ford focus

Hi Sam,
It doesn't sound like anything to be worried about. It's probably the pads and their dust covers rubbing against each other until they warm up. A good mechanic will put 'copper grease' between these when they are changed to prevent this.
