Who insures a buyer for test drives?
When selling a car privately, is it possible to get the car insured for someone to take it for a test drive or what is best in this situation? Also, when sold how does the previous owner pass over ownership with the car registration? Thanks so much

It is usually customary for the people turning up to test the car to have their own car insurance. You, as owner, then give them permission to drive the car, on the understanding that if anything happens to it during their test drive then the claim will be on their insurance.
