Which Volvo XC90 to go for?
HI, I am deciding between 2 Volvo XC90's to purchase. The first is 2011 D5, diesel, 123,000kms. The dealership has a 3 month warranty. The second is a private sale, 2010 D5 R-Design, which is the sports model with some upgraded features including reversing camera and screen. It has 110,000kms. Both cars are diesel. 2011 model has tinted windows and space saver tyre. 2010 model has 14,000 less kms. 2010 model is private sale so no warranty. They both have 3 onths registration. WHich do i choose??

Hi Jasmin,
If they’re the same price, go for the 2010 R-Design. It looks nicer, has better kit and lower miles. In terms of the lack of warranty, by the time the cars have done 110,000km and more, most faults (if any at all) will have been shaken out of them and those three-month, used dealership warranties are often not exhaustive; you might go for it and think you’re covered on every component, but there will be exceptions. We reckon the R-Design, being older but lower miles, will have been cared for better, too.
