Which van to go for?

Is there much of differance Between front and back wheel drive? I am looking to buy a 14 lwband can't pick I pull a trailer 2 times a mounth and have tools in the van all the time.

Our answer:

Hi John,

Well, there are obvious differences involving driving style with a rear-wheel drive van, especially on slipper surfaces, but generally speaking a rear-drive van will be able to carry a heavier payload than a front-drive one.  As for towing, you'll have to consult the handbook for the van you're looking at to find out the maximum towing weight, and don't forget that if the total weight of van and trailer exceeds 3,500kg you'll need at least a category BE driver's licence.
