The Vitara would be a good choice, as it’s not very expensive to buy, and they’re robust and well made. The S-Cross is more expensive and not really very much better overall, but there may be some small advantage in that it’s a little bigger than the Vitara, which may give you more room for the conversion. I’d suggest having a good chat with the company doing the conversion to see which works best from that point of view.
