Which starter car for €7,000?
My daughter is 19 and looking for her first car, can you advise on what year she should go for? She has around €7,000 budget but this will include insurance and road tax etc. Many thanks, Russell

Hi Russell,
Get the most modern car you can find, everything else being equal, as that will come with the best passive and active safety measures. A quick search, with a budget of say €5,500, and a maximum engine size of 1.2 litres (for insurance purposes), shows that there are good options from 2013 and 2014, and a few from 2015.
