Which Skoda Superb for a taxi?
Hi I'm a taxi driver and am wondering how you rate the DSG automatic gearbox on the Skoda Superb and would you recommend the 1.6 or 2.0

Hi Nicola,
For taxi use, I’d say the 1.6 is the better bet. There’s no point in having the extra grunt and thirst of the 2.0 when you’re going to be in town all day. The DSG is also a good idea for town use, and it seems to be a robust gearbox too – just make sure you buy one with a full service history and keep it properly serviced yourself.
