Which petrol MPV to go for?
HI I have been driving a 1.7 Diesel 08 Zafira and want to chage to an MPV/SUV style petrol but economical. what do you suggest 2013/214. I am doing high KM approx. 20-24K PA. I

Well, the obvious choice would be a Toyota Prius Plus, as theoretically the hybrid system should give you the petrol power you want with the economy you need. But I’m not personally convinced that the Prius Plus’s economy holds up in the real world. We’ve found it to be very thirsty in the past.
If you’re not pushed about having seven seats then a Nissan Qashqai 1.2 turbo is a good choice – economical, smooth and nice to drive, or you could upgrade to the new Volkswagen Tiguan with its 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. Seven seaters with petrol power are a little thinner on the ground, especially second hand, although Peugeot and Citroen do offer both he 5008 and C4 Picasso with the brilliant 1.2 PureTech petrol engine, but only on the most basic model so you’ll have to do some shopping in the options list if you want a decent spec.
