Yes, the Tuscon or Santa Fe are both good choices – both are reliable and well made, albeit at that age neither are as sophisticated as their more modern counterparts. Of the two, we’d prefer the Santa Fe; it’s nicer to drive than the smaller Tuscon and much more spacious and useful. The Freelander is a lovely thing to drive and look at but we’d have some concerns over long-term reliability so tread carefully and don’t go near anything without a full and lengthy service history.
