Which nearly new car to go for?

Some suggestions please for a nearly new car. We do about 10K kms a year. Ease of access for my mother on the front passenger seat is critically important as is the seat's height and angle with plenty of leg room. A feel for the car's length/width would help with possibly parking sensors and/or camera. Budget is €13K/€17K but could be tweaked for something exceptional.

Hi Julie,

I'd say have a good look at the Skoda Yeti. The 1.2 TSI petrol model would seem to suit your driving needs and you can easily find them with parking sensors. Even so, they have really good visibility so parking is a doddle. Another good option might be the Citroen C3 Picasso - funky looking, really comfortable and usually found with quite a high level of spec.

If you need something a bit roomier than those, what about a Hyundai ix35? Really spacious, reliable and comfy and most of them came with a reversing camera. I personally know of at least one elderly driver who loves their ix35 for its seating position and comfort.
