The new Kuga Hybrid is not smaller than the old car, but if your wife is still not convinced, you may need to wait a while to get more choice in the market. The Toyota RAV4 is currently available as a regular hybrid, but a plug-in version is in the pipeline. There's also a new plug-in hybrid Tiguan on the way next year. The Mitsubishi Outlander might be worth a look if space is a priority, while there are plug-in hybrid versions of the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60 if budget allows, too. It all comes down to how much you have to spend, really. Next year we'll see the arrival of a lot more plug-in hybrids in Ireland.
