Which Golf to go for?
Hi, I'm looking at buying a VW Golf. At the moment I'm in between two a 131 VW golf trend line which I think is the basic model. Or 12 VW golf high line which I think is the higher spec. The 12 started out dearer then the 131 but I've gotten it down to match the 131 price. I'm just wondering what would be the best option the newer car or the older car with a spec and what would be the difference between them. They both have in and around the same miles on the clock.

Get the 12 Highline. If you’ve argued it down to a good price, you’re getting a decent deal, and the Trendline is a bit bare in equipment terms. Ultimately, your final retained value will be around the level of a Comfortline model, but the Highline will probably sell a little more easily.
