Well, if you like the GT edition then go ahead, although on a strictly financial level it possibly doesn’t make a huge amount of sense. Your Golf is probably going to be worth around €12-13,000 as a trade-in (depending on condition and service history of course) and if you want to maximise value, wait until the end of March, or beginning of April, and then make your purchase — you might find a pre-registered GT-spec car that will be available at a significant discount.
