Which family car for €5,500?

Hi I'm presently looking for a new car to suit a family of 5....3 kids but only 2 in booster cushions. I've €5,500 to spend max and am torn with all the choice. I'm trying to get something with 3 full seats, doesn't have to be a 7 seater or anything. Looking at the likes of Honda streams (all of those seem to be imports), Citroen C4's and Peugeot 307. I can't seem to find any that fit ALL my criteria, i.e..minimal owners, full service history, lowish milage (80k miles) and at the right price. Want to buy from a Dublin based dealer with a good rep. I need to be flexible on some of my criteria but I don't know what to let go!

Hi Niamh,

OK, that is a tight list of criteria, right enough. However, I may have a solution. It's slightly over budget (but if you haggle a bit you might get it down to where you want), but it's a Honda, it's low-miles, one owner and in Dublin. It's an FR-V, which has six seats (two rows of three), lots of space, is nice to drive and hugely reliable. It looks like a Japanese import but the FR-V was sold here as well so parts shouldn't be an issue. Here's the link:
