All of the Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe, BMW i3, Volkswagen e-Golf and the Hyundai Kona Electric/Ioniq Electric are less than €50,000 and all of them are pure EVs. The Leaf and Zoe have some of the best range, but they are perhaps not quite big enough in the back for two older children. The i3 is a great shout, especially as it’s the most interesting to look at and drive of all of these, but it’s reasonably expensive and might still seem on the smaller side compared to your Mazda6. We therefore feel the larger three here will be better for you, the e-Golf perhaps being the most capacious.
