Which commuting car for about €28k?
Hi, I drive 500/550 km weekly.I am looking to buy a new car for around 28,000 not sure what to get.I have 3 children so their is 5 of us but I drive to work everyday so the 5 of us are in the car once a week at most,not sure about hybrid.Thanks

We’d recommend a Skoda Octavia Combi 1.6 TDI 115 DSG Ambition (€30,130). Skodas are huge inside and the combination of its frugal diesel engine plus automatic DSG gearbox will be perfect for your weekly commutes, while it should be capable of taking the whole family plus some clobber in the boot when you need it to. Admittedly, the price is a few grand over your budget, but you should be able to haggle hard with the dealership to get to your preferred figure; Ambition is worth getting, as it’s a decent level of specification as standard.
