Which family cars fit three car seats across and would you recommend buying petrol or diesel
Hi Wayne,
The only ones we know of capable of taking three child seats across the middle are the SEAT Alhambra MPV, the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (or its later version, named the Spacetourer), the Volkswagen Touran and the current generation of Audi Q7 – this last one will be pricey. The rough rule of thumb as to whether you need petrol or diesel is usually based on annual mileage; if you do less than 20,000km per annum, go petrol and if you do more than 20,000km per annum, go diesel. It also depends, of course, on where you do that driving. However, if you see just the car you like and need for the right price, and it’s the ‘wrong’ type of fuel for your annual usage, you should probably still take the plunge on it.
