Which car to get for cheap insurance?
Hi I am wondering what car to look for to get a cheap insurance. Should I be looking for a very new car or maybe a few year old. Or maybe a particular make?

Hi Nina,
In the hilariously awful Irish insurance market only two things really matter when it comes to insurance - age and engine capacity. Age means your own age (it helps to be 30 or over) and the age of the car (less than ten years or your premium will be outrageous). Engine capacity means between 1.0- and 1.2-litres, for the best possible quotes.
The old advice about shopping around is still important too - so wear out those phone lines and wifi connections and don't stop until you find a quote that suits.
