Which car should I go for with €10,000 to spend?

Hi, I'm looking for a car around the €10,000 mark that is an 08 or newer and I am liking the likes of Passat, Fluence, Avensis, etc. I would like my running costs to be relatively low.

Any suggestions?

Hi Ronan,

The Fluence would be cheap to run and to buy but you need to watch the depreciation. It's also smaller than the other two. The Avensis is a good solid workhorse but if low running costs is the key factor then seek out a Passat BlueMotion 1.6 TDI - you'll get well over 1,100km on a single tank.
