For most people, that decision would be made by the price, as there's a huge difference between those models. If you can afford either, then no question, go for the M235i, as it's a way more impressive car, with much higher performance, a high specification and xDrive all-wheel drive. We wouldn't recommend buyers doing only 15,0000km a year to go for diesel anyway, not unless all of that mileage is at motorway speed.
