Which big car for up to €20,000?
Hi, Thanks for your email. I’m looking for an automatic reliable and decent 7-8 seater(seats that comfortably accommodate 7 adults) family car with low mileage(up to 50000). Currently ,I need to use 4 car seats with the possibility of adding on another one within the next 18 months. My budget is up to 20,000. Your advice would be highly appreciated. That's actually quite a challenging set of criteria. Seating seven adults comfortably requires something larger than most seven-seat people carriers or SUVs. There are a few luxury SUVs that will do that, but they're going to be out of your budget. Hence, commercial vehicle based models is your best bet. The good news is that they're developed with reliability high up the list of priorities.
So, looking through the Carzone database within your budget, and only selecting automatic models, we reckon your best options include the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi or Mercedes-Benz Viano.
An unusual option that might also work is the Toyota Estima, imported from Japan as a used car. We found a 2013 example within budget.
