Hi, I've had a back injury and have been advised to change my current low manual car to an automatic SUV. Can you advise on a small SUV (for height) with leather heated seats, with lumbar support, automatic, not diesel as my daily commute is 5km each way. I do a long journey approx once every 6 weeks. I do not have children so a large jeep e.g. Mitsubishi Outlander is too big - but great seat. The Volvo XC60 also has a great seat, however the non diesel versions are out of my price range. I need to avoid bucket seats. I would like to spend 25k or less. My annual mileage is approx 10k. Thank you
Hi Laoise,
A Kia Niro Hybrid might be a good shout for you. They’re usually high-spec, so they’ll have leather and heated seats, they’re a crossover so they have a higher hip position than regular cars, they’re relatively inexpensive so you should get a good used one for significantly less than €25,000, and they are petrol-electric mild hybrids, so you don’t need to plug them in but you’ll get good economy from it considering your driving requirements. From memory, the seats are perfectly comfortable, too.
