What cars from 2010-2013 have 3 full seats in the back to take 3 child seats
Hi Kevin,
Depends. Do you mean cars, as in conventional hatchbacks, saloons or estates? Or do you mean MPVs as well? If you mean MPVs, then the answer is pretty much all of them, with the best ones being the Volkswagen Touran, the Toyota Verso, the Kia Carens, the Ford S-Max and the SEAT Alhambra. If you mean something a bit more low slung, then we’re into ‘it depends’ territory. Theoretically, any car with three seatbelts in the back will take three car seats, but it’s never that simple and it depends on the seats you’re using, the kids that they’re carrying and the width of the back seat. Generally speaking, the bigger the car the better. A Volvo S80, for instance, has plenty of rear seat width. A BMW 5 Series somewhat less so. Overall, if you’re shopping in the Mondeo/Passat/Avensis class or larger, you should be fine. Smaller hatchbacks and saloons will be a tighter squeeze, but always bring the kids and their seats along for the test drive to make sure everyone fits comfortably.
