Do you mean an engine from a different make or model? We wouldn’t suggest doing that. Quite apart from the huge number of mechanical changes you’d need to make, messing with the frontal structure of a car alters the way it will perform in a crash, and that’s just not a good idea. We’d suggest tracking down another Santa Fe as a donor vehicle, and keeping the engine the same as it was.
