When to change my Vitara's belt?
Hello. I have a question. I bought week ago Suzuki Vitara from 2017 1.6 diesel manual and on the clock is 34.184Mls/55012km when should I be changing the timing belt or chain because I don’t know how much kilometres is recommended. I have car service done ( oil+filters) but next time I would like to know when it is time to change the timing belt ( or chain) and will make an appointment at Suzuki garage. Regards Wojciech

Your car's engine does indeed using a timing belt, not a chain. It should be replaced at least every three years, regardless of distance.
