When to change my Skoda's brake fluid?
What does the 45,000 km service consist of for a 1.6 diesel Skoda Octavia. One garage says a brake fluid flush is reqd whilst another maindealer says not reqd

Hi James,
Right, we asked Skoda Ireland to look into this and here’s the response:
"When a brake fluid change takes place actually depends on when the car was built. Cars built up to Model Year 2010 have their first brake fluid change at two years and then every two years thereafter. Cars built from MY 2011 onwards have their first brake fluid change at three years and then every two years thereafter. So it’s based on time and not mileage and will depend on age of vehicle and when the last brake fluid change took place."
