When to change my SEAT's spark plugs?

Hi team my seat mk3 14tsi i am told spark plugs change 40k miles my seat now 5years old with 30k miles working fine should i change now. thank you john

Our answer:

Hi John,

Assuming you mean the Leon, the plugs are supposed to be changed every 60,000km or four years, whichever comes first. As yours is over five years old then the plugs really should have been changed already. Even if the car is running well, it's worth doing, as degradation in performance and efficiency could be so gradual that you would not have noticed.
