When to change my Golf's timing belt?
Hi I have a 06 golf mk 5 with 382 000 km on clock. Car is absolutely running brilliantly as I do all my own servicing and it never goes a mile above service hence why its running so good after that amount of kilometres. My question is how often should timing belt and water pump be changed on 06 age?

Hi Owen,
You've not told us which engine the car has, and the interval does vary between them. The 1.9 and 2.0 TDI diesels' belts should be changed at least every 120,000km regardless of time, for example. Obviously you'd do the water pump etc. at the same time.
