When is this Polo's belt due?
1.2 vw Polo. Year is 2013 (2) 79,000 km. When is timing belt, water pump due for changing? I am looking at buying this car. Should I insist it's done?

Hi Breda,
All the 1.2-litre petrol Polos of that year use timing chains, not belts, and they're designed for the life of the engine. If it's the 1.2 diesel you're looking at, then it's timing belt must be changed every 210,000km regardless of time.
A seller is not obligated to change the belt before selling the car to you, even if it is due, though you could use it as a bargaining tool with regards to the price.
