What's wrong with my Polo?
I have a VW 2009 bluemotion 1998 tcdi saloon car. Exhaust gas warning light came up. Mechanical changed pressure sensor. Car is still not right. On board computer telling me to go from 2nd gear to 1st gear, 3rd to 2nd in town driving. Even on a straight road saying to stay in 4th on open road. Really have to accelerate for it to call to go to 5th gear. Any suggestions as to the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Though it's very difficult to analyse a problem such as that from afar, it really does sound like a clogged DPF issue causing the car to go into 'limp home' mode with reduced power. I'd suggest bringing the car back to your mechanic with that suggestion and if they can't help, try someone else.
