Hi I've got a 1.7 cdti vauxhall mokka 2014 and I got code 89 coming up and car is in limp mode ,could u please tell me what this would be
Hi Aaron,
We believe that the code 89 is a generic error indicating that the car needs to be diagnosed so the garage can tell you what exactly is wrong. However, we also know that the Mokka suffers from failure of the 'bonnet closed' sensor built into the bonnet catch and that could well lead to a 'limp home' scenario. Unfortunately, the only cure we know of is a replacement of the whole catch. Before you invest in that, get it checked by a good mechanic.
