Hi Igor,

The only real widespread known issue with the first-generation Lexus LS is overheating due to blockages in the radiator. Perhaps that's causing your problem indirectly, though it would be accompanied by a coolant temperature warning. 

Best bet is to get the car along to a good mechanic to have it sorted out.
